Not all that was buried is meant to stay that way…

Maja, a Polish woman pregnant with her fourth child and desperate for her family’s safe passage across the sea to America, makes a deal with the Noonwitch, Poludnica.
Generations later, a young woman, next in line to be haunted by the witch’s demon son, Potwor, seeks to fill the gaps in her family’s history following the death of her father.
Told through the pages of history books and the oral tradition of pagan Christian folklore, An Inheritance of Light is a hideous journey of beautiful discovery.
Found only in the space between The End and Once Upon a Time.

This treasured Broadway classic is set in the infamous Kit Kat Klub, the hub of culture and sex in the waning days of Weimar Germany, a cultural renaissance that inspired and tantalized artists of all stripes across Europe. While an enigmatic Emcee slinks around the proceedings, wannabe starlet Sally Bowles is caught between the roaring train of oncoming fascism and the desire to be known.

I was the Runner Up for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical in the 2022 Broadway World Awards: Seattle for my portrayal of Fraulein Kost.

In the 1920s in New York City, Dr. James Richmond is leading the way on research to cure homosexuality and transexuality. He believes that he can “convert” those who are willing to become morally upright, and pursues this practice with good intentions. However, he has no idea that his son-in-law Rolly--seen by everyone as the epitome of masculinity--is gay.
Originally written under the pen name “Jane Mast,” The Drag is Mae West’s examination of drag culture mixed with drawing room comedy. Funny and flamboyant, the play creates an unusual love triangle topped with a decadent parade and celebration of drag.

"This actor [Alexei Cifrese] played two very different characters with great skill, I didn't even realize it was the same person. Absolutely well done."

"Alexei Cifrese's role, though minimal, is pivotal in the second act of the show, providing a nice change of pace from the high energy of the first act."

We're all pouting here because it was Opportunity's birthday, and we were stuck inside for Tech Week.

"Alexei was captivating- it was impossible to look away from them when they were on stage, and I do so wish they had been on stage longer."

The stars in the sky look different tonight...
In a small, secret town on a distant planet, a group of mutineers live in hiding from an imperialist, genocidal military fleet. When a scout ship from that fleet crashes near their settlement, the mutineers are forced to consider brutal options for their survival, while the young pilot of the scout ship faces the prospect of never seeing her home again.

After a tragic in-ring accident leaves their father dead, the estranged children of the wrestler, Antaeus, meet to hash out his legacy. But as memories of their father are shared, they soon realize that line between good and bad is far more complicated than what it seems. Based loosely on the Labors of Hercules, Kayfabe blurs the lines between what is real and what is scripted. Between honoring legacy and making your own.

Viola, separated from her twin Sebastian, dresses as a man and works for the Duke Orsino, whom she falls in love with. Orsino, in love with the Countess Olivia, sends Viola to court her for him, but Olivia falls for Viola instead. Chaos ensues.
This version was re-imagined as a drunken pajama party. I'm making a face because the mean director told me to leave the pillow pit for this scene.

"It is amazing how much emotion this actor [Alexei Cifrese] carries in his eyes alone."
-Gregory Award Nominator

"In one scene, Chris Shea and Alexei Cifrese give a startling performance as father and son. In an attempt to confront and comfort his son (Cifrese), the suburban dad (Shea) realizes his son’s demons are much darker than he anticipated. Upon realizing he is of no help to his son, conflict ensues that barely stops short of physical, making for an intense and exciting scene to witness."

We got absolutely eviscerated by Jay Irwin in this review here.
Drama in the Hood gave us a glowing review, though!

I wonder where those stockings went...

This rapid fire collection of classic and original skits - including song, dance, burlesque, drag, magic, and stupid human tricks - not only had three different frame stories, depending on what night you went, but also appeared in a different, random order every night.

Picture taken after the show with my friend Angie because I could not find a single flattering shot of myself onstage. Which, considering this photo is giving Awkward Prom Photo Realness, is saying something.

Angie would go on to win Chopped six years later.
That has nothing to do with the story; I just wanted to let you know that I know people.

When Amy’s failure to show up for her thesis presentation is blamed on her depression/anxiety, she is threatened with expulsion from Whetmore’s College of Performing Arts. Meanwhile, in Ancient Greece, a carnivorous beast has escaped Echo’s watchful eye and is hungry for blood. As Echo and Amy’s friends continue to betray them and bystanders are devoured, they must decide whether to give up on theater while they still can, or burn everything to the fucking ground and start over.
